THEREMIN

This was my final project for the Generative Sound Systems course taught by sound artist Caroline Park.

The objective of this creative production course was to use probability in experimental electronic music and sound art. We studied visual programming language Max/MSP to implement algorithmic methods in creating unique generative sound systems.

The Theremin is an electronic musical instrument controlled without physical contact. It is controlled by the relative position of the hands to two antennas for volume and pitch.

This project aims to demonstrate the interaction between the machine and the performer by visualizing the pitch and volume of the Theremin.
